Several Problems in Low-Temperature Thermal History Modeling

چکیده
Thermal history modeling based on low-temperature thermochronological data is widely used in the study of geology. Despite its common applications, several problems remain easy to ignore yet should not be overlooked execution such models. This paper describes four key thermal modeling, namely, (1) best-fit best? (2) Is date constraint box a suitable constraint? (3) Does bimodal distribution apatite fission track confined length absolutely correspond cooling reheating model? (4) whole path credible? Counterexamples are then provided stress importance accounting for these application modeling. Acknowledging uncertainty and considering geological constraints recommended improve accuracy Moreover, historical intervals with high credibility strong ability interpret selected phenomenon.

Thermal history and temperature-dependent photon echo and hole burning linewidths in low temperature glycerol glasses
Temperature-dependent two-pulse photon echo and hole burning linewidths are reported for the system resorufin in glycerol glass from 1 to 25 K. At low temperature a factor of ~4 difference between the linewidths measured by the two techniques is observed owing to the broad fluctuation rate distribution of glass dynamics. Using cooling rates of 600 K/min and 0.2 K/min, it is shown that the linew...
متن کاملThermal Modeling for Predication of Automobile Cabin Air Temperature
Thermal modeling of an automotive cabin was performed in this paper to predict the inside cabin air temperature. To implement this task, thermal and ventilation loads were estimated and the mass and energy balance conservation equations for dry air and water vapor with considering a new parameter (air circulation ratio) as well as the balance equations of internal components of a cabin were de...
متن کاملThermal Effects in Low-Temperature QED
QED is studied at low temperature (T ≪ m, where m is the electron mass) and zero chemical potential. By integrating out the electron field and the nonzero bosonic Matsubara modes, we construct an effective three-dimensional field theory that is valid at distances R ≫ 1/T . As applications, we reproduce the ring-improved free energy and calculate the Debye mass to order e.
متن کاملModeling Low-Temperature Geochemical Processes
A model takes on the quality of theory when it abstracts from raw data the facts that its inventor perceives to be fundamental and controlling, and puts these into relation to each other in ways that were not understood before—thereby generating predictions of surprising new facts. Geochemical modeling has become a popular and useful tool for a wide number of applications from research on the f...
متن کامل17.3 Temperature Measurement and Modeling of Low Thermal Resistance GaN-on-Diamond Transistors
Replacing SiC substrates with the highest thermal conductivity material available, diamond (κ up to 2000 W/mK), will result in significantly lower thermal resistance AlGaN/GaN HEMTs. In this work we combine Raman thermography and thermal simulation to assess the thermal resistance of state-of-the-art GaN-ondiamond HEMTs. INTRODUCTION The RF output power density achievable for GaN-based high ele...
